Plage de Santa Giulia (near Porto-Vecchio)

One of Corsica's best-known beaches, and for good reason. Santa Giulia is essentially a large, shallow lagoon with crystal-clear water and white sand. Children can wade dozens of metres into the water without it getting deep.

Why is it ideal for families?

• Very gently sloping seabed
• Calm, almost wave-free water
• Restaurants and sun lounger hire

Insider tip Come early in the morning or later in the afternoon. Around midday it can get very crowded here, especially in July and August.
